Bukas, Luluhod ang mga Tala!

When I learned that Kuya Kiel has no classes on Feb 24 and 25 (I don't know with their school why there's no class on Feb 24, of course Feb 25 is Edsa Revolution.  I really don't have any idea why did they declare Feb 24 a No Class day!) Anyway, because of that 2 rest days, I decided that we go out of town.

I heard about Pico de Loro in Nasugbu, Batangas.  Actually, it's on a membership basis for you to avail their services and to enjoy their place.  (well, I thought this was a great idea!)  I looked from different travel websites about Pico and I came across this particular site and immediately, I called the owner of the unit from Pico who happens to offer their units for rent to non-members.  The transaction was so fast, I deposited the rent fee to her account and she sent the authorization letter to be presented when we get there.

I was so excited to share the good news to my hubby and even told him, "magfi-feeling mayaman tayo this time" hahahahaha (social climber lang ang peg! 'yan tuloy napapahamak...hahahahaha).

It took us 2.5 hours to get there.  The road looked like a never ending road.

Finally, we got there!

So, we were informed by the owner that there is a registration fee for non-members.  Then, we were required to avail the card for us to use when we want to avail their other services.  My hubby parked at the Pico Country Club and my kids and I just waited at the car while hubby paid for the registration fee.  When he got back from the country club, he was so pissed off with the staff on how the way they treated non-members.  In short, the staff there was not polite enough to show some respect to non-members.  I felt my hubby's frustrations and disappointment to the point that he wanted to go home and just forfeit what we have paid for.  I just told him that we need to enjoy our short vacation and show the kids that we are really excited to show them the place and that's what we did.  I also told him that if we show frustration with them, they will not enjoy the place which is basically our reason for this short travel with them, "to enjoy and spend quality time with them".

By the way, we were given a wrist tag to indicate that we are not members and just guests (this is really a DISCRIMINATION! we think we paid for the place to enjoy and not to be treated like this.)  This is contrary to my expectation that somehow in just a weekend at least we could feel that we can breathe the air of those elite people but sad to say, we felt that we're really so far away from them.  (hahaha! sino ba naman kasi nagsabi sa akin na magpumilit sa isang membership place! wala! I just thought that this is the same with Alta Vista in Boracay.  We were treated like owners of the condotel that we rented, there was really NO DISCRIMINATION!)

Before I forget, when I saw the frustration on my hubby's face, kulang na lang sabihin ko, "Oh siya, i-avail ang membership, "Yaya, ilabas ang sandamakmak na kaperahan" e kaso ni yaya nga wala kami, sandamakmak na kaperahan pa kaya? hahahaha

Moral Lesson: Tigil tigilan ang pagiging social climber! hahaha kidding aside, I just really want the best place to relax for my family but it's totally a nightmare buti na lang we have our kids to enjoy our stay.

The place is really nice but we cannot highly recommend it to non-members because of how the staff treats the guests.

This is a challenge for us that in the future, we'll have that kind of membership but for sure we'll get the one which offers fair treatment between members and non-members as guests.  "Balang araw, magkakaroon din kami nyang membership ek ek na yan".

"Bukas, luluhod ang mga tala!" (hahaha!)
