My first and last entry for 2018

Oh my! it's been more than a year since my last entry here. My 2017 and 2018 were not my best years. I had a lot of challenges to face. When I look back, these were the years that taught me so much about life and trusting our Lord, Father God despite the challenges.

Though these were not my best years, I still consider it to be my greatest years for I became a child of God. I have accepted Him as my Father God, my Savior, my protector. I became stronger, braver and wiser that I didn't expect myself to be the best version of myself today.

These are the things I've learned (and still learning):*

1.  Do not try to please everyone.
2.  Love yourself. know your worth.
3.  Do not force anyone to stay in your life.
4.  Never assume, never expect.
5.  It's ok to fail, as long as you learn your lessons.
6.  If people want to leave, let them go.
7.  This is the hardest one which until now I am struggling: "Learn to forgive and try harder to forget."
8.  Love the people who love and who care for you. Appreciate them. Spend more quality time with them.
9.  Do not waste your time to those who always treat you to be an option.
10.  Believe in God, have a deeper relationship with Him. Lift up to Him all your worries. He loves us, He will never leave us.
11.  Be more appreciative and grateful for what you have.
12.  Love the people who have helped you get up when you were at your lowest point in life.

I claim that this 2019 will be a great one no matter what kind of challenges I will be facing. This will be great for I know I am stronger beacause of my faith in Him.  Thank you Father God for everything. God bless us all.

A Year Before Big 4-0

These are the things I have learned in my 39 years of existence on earth:

1. My mantra now is "ayaw mo, wag mo". You can't please everybody. People are entitled to their opinion, just need to respect it.

2. If you love someone, don't expect the same amount of love in return.

3. Love, respect and trust are the most important ingredients in any relationship.

4. If you're given a task, do it well.

5. If you're given any responsibility, be accountable for it.

6. Don't force someone to like/love you, if they really care for you, it will come naturally.

7. Be mature to face all types of challenges that come your way.

8. You learn things from your mistakes or from your past experience, treasure it.

9. Enjoy life the way you want to live it as long as you know your limitations.

10.  Have a sense of responsibility.

11. Have high respect for your parents and you will never go wrong.

12. Have more faith in Him and trust Him for all the happenings in your life whether it's bad or not.  Everything happens according to His will.

13. Help those in need even strangers.

14. Show respect to all the people you deal with.

15. If you feel like giving up, kneel down and pray.  Only Him who can give you assurance that "everything will be ok".

16. I love it when I make my loved ones happy.  Make it a habit to make others happy.

17. Don't forget yourself. Learn to love yourself.

18. Never doubt yourself that you can do anything with the help of Almighty Father.

19. Reconnect to your long lost friends.  Treasure the friendship.

20. Share your blessings.

21. Have someone in your life who can be trusted of all the things you are going through. It relieves when you get to release the burden in your heart.

22. Have "me" time.  Know yourself deeper.

23. Write the things you want in life. Your goals. Your dreams. Before you know it, you have achieved it already.

24. Be grounded. Be humble.

25. Have a grateful heart.

26. Focus on things you like to achieve.

27. Be kind always.

28. Try things out of your comfort zone.

29. Be a good listener.

30. Be vocal about your feelings.

31. If you are sad, let it be. Anyway, it will pass.

32. Look back to where you came from and be grateful to those people who have helped you become the person you are now.

33. Be patient to your kids. Let them play and enjoy their childhood.

34. Fulfill your long-time dream.

35. Always make yourself happy.

36. Be patient to all other people you deal with.

37. Always pray for His guidance in everything that you do.

38. Be sensitive for the feelings of others.

39. Learn things from others' past experiences.

I thank God for giving me the kind of life I have right now, for the gift of family, for being the person I am now.  I pray for good health, more happiness, peace of mind, lots of love for me, my family, my friends and those who are in need.

Motherhood or Wifehood?

Motherhood is one of the best feelings I've ever experienced and still enjoying it.  But most of the time, my patience always put to the test, given that I have 2 boys, still motherhood is a great feeling and very fulfilling.  For me, the essence of being a woman is being a mother but wait....I think I was wrong.

Before I became a mother, I was a wife first.  Being a wife to my husband is one of the greatest feelings I've ever had.  Not all the time, we're okay.  We fight, we argue, we fight, we argue, then we fight again and we argue again...hahaha.  The best part of it is at the end of the day, we know how to say sorry, accept our faults, forgive one another.  This is so natural for us to do as we do it out of love.  We cannot let each other feel bad all the time.  I am so blessed to have my husband in my life, he knows how to calm me down and comfort me.

Last night was the first time we didn't celebrate Valentine's day in our 10 years of being together.  It was a surprise date, he called me in the afternoon to say that we're going to have our dinner together.  To prepare for that, I left the office early enough to pick up my Kuya Kiel from school to finish our review session for his quiz the following day.  I didn't foresee that our review will take time longer than I expected.  Until such time, that the reservation for our dinner date was forfeited.  Yes, my hubby reserved and paid for it already.  So sad.  I was torn between motherhood and wifehood.  I was told before that my husband should always be my priority, next is my kids.  Last night, I felt guilty about it.  I just ruined my husband's plans to celebrate our Valentine's day.  We're okay now and he said sorry too because of his reaction last night for what happened.  I fully understand what he felt last night, I felt guilty about it.  I can't leave my son at home saying that he is not yet ready for the quiz, so I chose to stay and taught him about the lesson.

I realized I should have prioritized my husband.  I was amazed with what my husband did early this morning, he talked to me and  said sorry.  He fully understand my situation last night where I was torn between him and my son.  He realized that what I did was okay.  Now, I was too emotional how this guy can easily forgive me for what I did.  God is really good to fill my heart with so much love from the people I love especially from my husband.

Thank you tatay for your never ending patience, love and care.  Thank you for everything.  I love you so much! This is for you, this is how we started.  Love you tatay.

Random Thoughts

Why is it so hard for me to write here nowadays? I had so much thoughts in my mind but I wasn't able to put it here.

My thoughts are not organized.  I feel like I am always nervous, I always worry for small stuff, I always have negative thoughts.  When people do good to me, I always think it's not sincere or maybe she/he just needs something from me.  Why is it always like that?  Is this what you called "midlife crisis"?

From Wikepedia:
A midlife crisis is a transition of identity and self-confidence that can occur in middle aged individuals. It is a psychological and behavioral observation that commonly occurs with individuals between the ages 45-64. Its observations differ in a diverse manner for each individual. While some individuals may experience feelings of depression, remorse, and anxiety, others may experience feelings such as the desire to achieve youthfulness or make drastic changes to their current lifestyle or atmosphere.

What???!!! It occurs with individuals between ages 45-64... I am not even at my 40s... I think I need to change something with my lifestyle, with my relationship with God, with the people I love.  This 2017, I target to achieve the following goals:

1.  Have a strong relationship with God.  I always forget to give thanks to Him for He is the driver of our lives.  Everything in my life now is based on His will and He is in control of everything I have.  I should treasure and enjoy the life He provides us.

2.  Have a more quality time with my immediate family (tatay, kuya Kiel and Ethan).  Whenever we're together, I should lessen being stressful dealing with them.  I easily get irritated whenever things do not happen according to my expectations.  This is too bad.  I should control my temper and be more patient when dealing with them.

3.  Have a healthy life.  Tatay and I are not getting any younger, we should now push ourselves to have an active lifestyle together, we need to promote with each other to eat healthy food so we could also influence our kids to do the same.

4.  Have a baby girl.  I just realized that I think this is too late for us to plan to have a baby girl, I will be 39 this July.  We should have planned it when Ethan was still 2 or 3 yrs old.  In God's time, we claim that we will have that mini "Irene" this year.

5.  Have a good disposition in life.  Basically, I owe this to my hubby in which he taught me how to approach things that come my way.  He has the right attitude towards different circumstances in life.  I just love how he does it and I admire him for being focused in everything he does.

6.  Have the means to provide for our needs.  Not rich and not poor, just in the middle.  At least we could provide our kids the lives that they deserve and at the same, have the means to share with the people we love and the people in need.

I claim that this 2017 will be a great year for all of us! God bless everyone.

Family Time over Other things

It's been a long while since I had my last blog entry.  It was about my #sepanx (separation anxiety) moment with my former employer.  I thought I could have more time to write since I will no longer have a 9-hour regular office work everyday.  But I was wrong, I was fooled by my thoughts of having more "me" time, more time to write about life, motherhood, challenges etc. etc.

Then, I became an SAHM (stay at home mom) from Feb to Apr 2016, I never had a time to check my blogsite (naks! pumi-feeling blogger talaga haha, hayaan na, pagbigyan!) and sit down to organize my thoughts then let it document here.  This never happened.

Fast forward, I started a new job last May 2016 then I quit effective July 29.  This was too fast, yeah I know.  So many realizations, I thought I can let my day pass without kissing my sons "good night", I thought I can let them do their homework without my supervision, I thought I can let them review on their own during quizzes, exams.  This time, I was right, my kids were able to do their homework, review their lessons on their own but I felt guilty about it, I never had a quality time with them after office hours (super duper extended working hours).  Aside from my nanay duties, my duties as a wife had suffered already. So I realized there's something wrong, I need to do something about it.  So, finally, I realized my priority is my family.  I will never trade my family time for a well-compensated job but offers me to have little time to spend with the people I love the most.  I decided to quit my job at that time.

Looking forward to work again with my former employer.  Yeah you read it right, "with my former employer".

#dramaqueenever

I thought I was ok, I thought I had moved on but then again, now that I look back, all I can say is "Whew! How I wish I could make it last but it was already final and I cannot bring back the past." I thought I succeeded all the stages of moving on (these are my own stages, others may have different stages on how to move on, I guess it varies based on personality).

1.  Denial:  You cannot imagine yourself losing the relationship that you put so much time, effort and love to make it last.  Sadly, it didn't work the way you wanted it to be.

2.  Anger:  Hated the situation.  Why did it happen?  You thought the relationship is smooth, suddenly, the situation changed.

3.  Grieving: Since you parted ways, you can't help but grieve. Sad :(

4.  Acceptance:  Accepted the situation and believed that you can't bring back the past.  Past is past and you totally have accepted it.

I thought I was done with these stages where I have reached the Acceptance stage already.

Now, as my end date with Cypress (Yes, this is about my relationship with Cypress as employer-employee relationship) is coming so soon, I can't help but feel sad about it.  I grew up with this Company personally and professionally.  I gained friends and encountered difficult people as well.  These were the people who have helped me and made me stronger to face any kind of challenges.  I thank them for being part of my journey.  (huhuhu!!!)

Thank You Cypress for the time we've spent together.  You've been so generous and I'm grateful that I was able to enjoy it and share it with the people I love.

God bless our journey! :)

Two Years Ago..

It's already Nov 2015, time flies so fast.  Two years ago, our yaya for 4 months left us.  At first, it was so hard for my hubby and I to wake up everyday so early to prepare the breakfast, packed lunch for kids, give my kids a bath, bring our Kuya Kiel to school, bring Ethan to lola's house, clean and wash the dishes after breakfast etc etc etc...

With that chores, my hubby and I were able to manage to do it on our own without the help of a yaya for 2 years and counting.  I cannot do it alone without the help of my loving hubby.  I super thank God for giving me such a wonderful husband who knows how to cook, wash the dishes etc. etc.. (it looks like it's my hubby pala who does the chores...hahaha)

This was our everyday routine:

4:30am-5:15 - Prepare breakfast, baon.
5:15-6am - Nanay's bath time then, nanay will give kuya a bath.
6-6:15am - Breakfast time with tatay.
6:20am - Tatay brings kuya to school.
6:21-7:30am - Nanay cleans the kitchen and wash the dishes.
7:30am - Nanay brings Ethan to lola's house.
7:45 - Nanay goes to office.

We changed our schedule since the start of this month.  I will be reporting to one of the subsidiaries of Cypress located in Laguna Technopark (LTI) until Jan 2016.  The location is near to our home :)

4-4:15am - Nanay's bath time.
4:15-5:15am - Prepare breakfast and baon.
5:15-5:30am - Breakfast time.
5:31-6am - Kuya's bath time and getting ready for school.
6:10-6:20am - We leave the house to bring Kuya to school. Yipppeee! this is now my new role, my son's driver going to school... :)  Then, I go straight to the office (LTI).  Wow! so early in the office.
6:21am - It's tatay's turn to clean the kitchen, wash the dishes, bring Ethan to Lola's house....hehe Love you tatay for doing this since we don't have a yaya.

I am blessed to have my husband, my partner in everything I do.  I cannot do it on my own.  Thank you and love you so much tatay.

Also, thanks to my in-laws for taking good care of our kids while we're working.

Thank God for giving me a wonderful family :) #blessed

My prayer....

"My Prayer....

Lord, give me more strength to face every challenge of being a mother.
I may not be a perfect mother for my sons but I am a God-fearing mother.
Please teach me to be more patient whenever they need me.
Please help me teach them the right values a child should be.

Lord, please give me more wisdom and strength on how to guide my kids.
To be God-fearing, respectful, have sense of responsibilities.
To honor the elders and be good to neighbors."

I saw this prayer from my draft list in my blog. I guess when I wrote this, I was challenged on how to discipline our kids because as they grow, they tend to answer back or should I say, they just express their opinion on things because they understand things more than before.

I still have the same prayer until now.  I just want my kids to be good and everything will be fine as they grow old.  I just want them to know God and keep it in their hearts that everything comes from Him, so be thankful to Him.  Even they struggle, I want them to understand that it's just part of life's journey, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes you'll be accepted, sometimes you'll be rejected.  I want them to grow stronger for them to handle every life challenges.

I am lifting this up to Him and claiming that my kids will be the good father/head of their own family, great husbands, cool brothers, generous sons and good citizens of the Philippines (or if they want to migrate, to be good citizens of any country that they want to live in. hehehe).

Amen.

Moving on....

This is the best time for me to move on.  Do not dwell on the past, just move forward.  You cannot change anything from the past but you can make a difference in looking forward, thinking of the future, planning for the next chapter in your life.

Right now, I can say that a portion of my life has ended but I am not losing hope that in God's perfect time, it will be replaced by a better one, actually, I'm claiming it will be the best one! It's a cliché, "Everything happens for a reason." The reason may not be revealed now but you will understand it sa "tamang panahon" (at the right time).

I may be losing my job but not the good memories I had with my generous employer, Cypress.  I am so grateful for having the opportunity to work at Cypress, it helped me a lot in so many ways.  I was able to develop my skills and I learned to believe that I can do everything as long as you do it with your heart. (#puso #gilasPilipinas) I had the chance to work with the great team, Internal Audit Team.  I had the opportunity to work with a cool and generous boss.  The sad part of leaving the company (or the company leaving us) is the reality that it will be hard to have the same team as I have with Cypress.  Though I left the team to fill in a Finance position but I still feel that I am so welcome to the team.  With that, Thank you guys! (#drama)

I had the chance to work with my current boss for 11 months now and with that short period of time of working together, I think we were able to build a rapport.  So grateful that he appreciates my work as well.

I only had few close friends in the office, thankful that I have met these people.

Enough for the drama, I am now moving on with a positive attitude that everything is according to God's plans and will.

Again, "Everything happens for a reason."

All's Well that Ends Well

Aligaga si Inday (ako yun! bilang nanay, pang all around ang duties mapa-yaya man, driver, teacher, security guard, kasambahay, etc...etc... ng iyong pamilya.)

I appreciate how blessed I am to meet the right people at the right time.  He works in mysterious ways.  I firmly believe that God knows our heart's desires.

I think this morning is one of the most "aligaga" days that I have so far, my car is scheduled for a preventive maintenance (PM), I have an 8am meeting, there's an ongoing construction at home etc etc.

Good thing, my hubby is there to bring my car.  Love you tatay and Thank you! :)

When I reached Sucat, I just saw Ethan's Science book on the passenger seat with his kuya's English reviewer.....waaaaahhhh There's no way to make a "U", I have an 8am meeting........waaaahhhhh waaaaaaahhhhh talaga!!!!!!! (bat ngayon pa???!!!)  While driving, I called Ethan's teacher to let her know that he forgot his Science book in my car and I'm on my way already to the office and no way to go back.  I informed her that he will bring it tomorrow for her to check Ethan's assignment.

Then, I dialed in for our meeting while driving, I was late.  Marvin was there to discuss the delays on the progress of one of the processes that I'm monitoring while I have not yet joined the conference call.  When I reached the office, the meeting was still ongoing and was able to join the meeting at the conference room in time to explain some items.

After the meeting, I saw Aileen who worked night shift last night and about to leave the office.  (presence of mind) I remembered Aileen lives in the South where we live.  I tried to approach her and actually request her to bring my sons' book and reviewer in Mamplasan Exit, it's an exit before Aileen's exit going home.  Thank God He brought Aileen to rescue me :)  Then, I called papa (father-in-law) to meet up with Aileen to get the book and reviewer.  Then, an hour ago, papa sent a text message that he got the book and reviewer and he brought the book to Ethan's school just in time for his class... another angel in my life.. Thank God for bringing people to rescue me in these circumstances.

Then, there's this ongoing renovation at home and I thank God for my tatay and nanay to watch over the construction workers while my hubby and I are working.

I am overwhelmed with these blessings.....

All's well that ends well.

It's Not Mother's Day!

Image result for saying for mothers

It's hard to trust people but I have one person to whom I can say anything under the sun, a person who will understand me no matter what, a person who supported me all the way and still supporting me in any way she can, a person who always remind me "be good to everyone", a person who will do everything for the sake of her loved ones, a person who is selfless in everything she does, a person who has a positive outlook in life......etc...etc........ that's my NANAY! :)

You are there to make things brighter and even if it seems there's a problem, to you it's nothing.  Simply because you always look at the positive side of everything.  It's really a choice to always think of positive thoughts and it's a great challenge for the people like me who always look on the negative side.  I wish I got that attitude from you nanay.  You never get tired of telling me "kalma lang" when you know I worry for something, when I'm nervous, when I'm angry, when I'm sad.  Today is not Mother's day but for me, it feels like everyday is Mother's day.  Thank you for everything.  I wish I can be that kind of a mother to my kids (kahit kalahati lang, pwede na!)

I love you nanay!

Precious Time

Gosh! Gosh Abelgosh! (corny!) It's half of the year already and I only have 3 posts.  (so busy? or so tamad?) Sometimes, there are lots of thoughts running my mind but because of laziness to write, I wasn't able to put it here. (sayang)

SY 2015-2016 just started last month and due to "quiz" season again for our Kuya Kiel, it seems that we're on war whenever we review for his quizzes.  I admit that my patience is being tested and most of the time I can't control it anymore which lead to nanay-son misunderstanding.  That happened on my birthday that I felt guilty about what happened during our review session earlier on that day.  I can't sleep and I was bothered that Kuya Kiel sees me as a monster mom again! (I cried a lot.  I need to control my temper and have more patience.  - THAT'S THE CHALLENGE.)

I said "Sorry" to Kuya Kiel and promised that nanay will try her very best not to shout nor get mad at him during our review sessions.

I surprised him on July 3, I went home earlier than before and picked him up from my in-laws' house while Ethan was sleeping.  (Don't worry Ethan, I will set up a separate date with you again :)  I was having a hard time thinking of places to go to bring Kuya Kiel to make him happy.  I was thinking of Timezone or any kids' place where he will surely enjoy.

I just made up our itinerary right before I reach my in-laws' house.  I finally figured out where to go................

We went to Eternal Gardens where our Lolo Kiko, Lola Tinay and Tita Iye were buried.  Since Kuya Kiel didn't have the chance to meet personally his Lolo sa tuhod (great grandfather), I introduced him to Lolo and Kuya Kiel even said "Hi" hehehe (buti na lang di sumagot si lolo).

To my surprise, he enjoyed staying, playing and chatting with me there.  I told him stories about our childhood and he asked how did I meet tatay (Edmund).  (Aba, at curious na ang aming binata, baka may ipapakilala na bukas makalawa...hehehe)

I wasn't able to go to church on my birthday to hear the mass so I decided to go to church after going to the Eternal Gardens.  We were 15 minutes earlier than the 6pm mass, thus, I asked Kuya Kiel to look for snacks and we went to the nearby sari-sari store, we bought biscuits and softdrinks for only Php 46. (compared to Timezone or any other kids' place, this amount is way too far from the expenses that we may incur if we go to these places. Thank God He brought us there.)

We heard the mass, then, we went to Pavilion Mall to grab some pasalubong for Ethan Kulit.

No amount of money can buy the precious time I had with our panganay, Kuya Bujoy.

Thanks for the time anak and I love you, Ethan and tatay. :)

Thank God for precious time like this.  (the following day, we went back together with Ethan and tatay.  We brought their bikes.  Mukhang mapapadalas na ito.)

(church photo grabbed from http://sananthoniansbinan.blogspot.com/2008/09/our-parish-history.html)

SPL (Stop. Pray. Listen)

To address a stressful day is really a challenge.  You need to condition yourself that at the end of this day, there will be light - that's a GREAT CHALLENGE!

Sometimes you feel so stressed already when in fact you just started your day.  I had that same feeling yesterday and I learned that I need to STOP, PRAY and LISTEN.

STOP! Be calm and stop worrying of things which may not happen.

PRAY! Find a quiet place where you can say a prayer.  A prayer that comes from your heart even you are not saying anything, He knows your heart's desires and if it's His will, He will provide it.  If not, it means you wait and in His perfect time, everything will fall into its proper place.

LISTEN!  Just listen to His whisper saying "Your concerns are in my control." All the time, He is at your side, just trust Him and have more faith in Him.

These are the books I got from Sanctuario de San Antonio Parish.  These are Elf-Help books in order to manage your anger, how to handle stress and address your worries.  I also bought Believe-in-yourself Therapy book to gain more confidence in everything that we do.

May we all lift up to Him all our worries in life.  Everyone has his own issues/trials to face, it's up to us on how to handle such.  Hope everyone chooses the right path in facing their own burden - Turn to God.

Great Monday!

Just the start of the week but reasons for me to see life as wonderful as it should be are in front of me.  Overwhelming feeling and here's the list:

1.  Day 1 for me to bring Kuya Kiel to school since tatay is not around for an out-of-town Conference/Teambuilding.  This is an opportunity to have quality time with my eldest.
2.  If there's really no choice, you will be forced to go out of your comfort zone.  I had the courage to drive tatay's car since the stickers we need to pass the short way going to Kuya Kiel's school are on it.
3.  Had the chance to talk to Kuya's class adviser.  It was unplanned.  Kuya went straight to the gate and saw teacher passing the corridor so I smiled, she smiled then she took time to go to where I stand and approached me and said, "Welcome back po!" (she knew I was on business trip because I asked her for the schedule of Kuya's final exams prior to my trip to make sure that my trip will not fall on those dates, as if I have a power to move my trip if in case it falls on my son's final exam schedules, fortunately, it was not.)  Teacher discussed that Kiel had a great improvement since I got back, when I was away, she noticed that Kuya was not that focused/concentrated with their lessons.  She noticed the change when I got back and she even told me "Good job po!".  "Iba po talaga pag nandyan ang mommy." (hehe I agree! :)

These are the reasons why my Monday is so great.  This is a good start of this work week.  We have lots of reasons to be thankful for everyday.  God is so good all the time! :)

This will be a productive week, I claim it.  :)

Surprise Blessings! (God is really good.)

Business Trip again.  Away from my family.  I love my job but there is really a downside.  You cannot have the best of both worlds.  Time management is the key, have quality time with your family and do your best in your career.  Ask for God's guidance then, Voila! you'll have a wonderful life :)

When you travel, you experience so many things and that experience one way or another teaches you to grow smarter and braver.

In 2010, I had a business trip in Japan with Kaye, one of my officemates/friends.  After our lunch, we decided to pass by a bookstore at the ground floor of the building where the office we report to is located.  When we just entered the store, I didn't control myself from falling, it happened so fast.  I had a swollen forehead.  Suddenly, an ambulance came and a stretcher was pulled inside the room where the Store Manager/Sales Lady brought me.  I was shocked that their emergency team was so fast and in just a matter of 5-10 minutes, surprise! They were there!  I salute their emergency team.  In the end, I didn't agree to bring me to the hospital as I was really ok and it didn't hurt much.

Fast forward, last night (January 20), at this hotel where I stay, I created a smoke, a big smoke!!! (Gosh!) I was about to deep fry the chicken so I can have my packed lunch tomorrow but the cooking didn't happen at all because of that big smoke.  I let the pan heat with the cooking oil on it, while waiting, I was talking to my dear hubby then after that I talked with Sean, one of my teammates/friends, on the phone, to my surprise, the fire detector alarmed...then I put the phone down and Voila! the firemen came....Oh my! what an experience.  I forgot the cooking oil....waaaahhhh

Thankful that I didn't fall asleep while waiting for the pan with cooking oil to heat, otherwise, (knock on wood) a serious accident may happen.  Thank God I am safe.  I apologized to other hotel guests that I caused some hassle that they need to get out of their rooms as an SOP.  Sorry about that.

Lesson learned:  I will dine out for lunch kesehodang madaming work.  I'll find time to eat.

God is good all the time! :)

Maling Tama (gulo no?)

Gosh! It's October now and my last post here was last May, can't believe it. Anyway, to my blog readers (naks parang ang dami nila at feelingera lang tlaga! :), so sorry hahaha (pagbigyan na :)

Yesterday, October 25, we had so much fun and we were so busy. It was my tatay's 72nd birthday, we ate lunch at SIS Seaside restaurant, our favorite venue for birthday celebrations.  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take pictures of the whole family.  Nevertheless, the memories are in our hearts and that's the most important thing. I wish my tatay good health so we could spend more time with him here on earth.  We love tatay so much that he needs to sacrifice so many years to be away from us to support our studies and all our needs from 1981-1996. He was an OFW when we were kids. We thank him for that for without him together with nanay, we will never make it to where we are now.  Thank God for giving us a very wonderful set of parents.  I've learned that in life anyone can make mistakes, we just need to accept and forgive the people who have wronged us. It's part of life's journey :)

In the afternoon, kuya Kiel and I attended his classmate's birthday celebration, Happy at Johnny Rockets ATC. At first I was hesitant to attend since I only know one mommy of Kiel's classmate.  I allowed him to attend since he really wanted to go and be with his classmates.  The problem with me is that I'm too shy to mingle with other persons especially that it's only my first time to see them, I'm like a kid who needs to warm up first before giving his/her smile to strangers hahaha. Haller, I'm 36 and I still feel like a kid???...Hehehe

Glad to see that Kuya Kiel was so confident to participate any games and I need not to convince him to join. Hehe walang pilitang naganap hehe I was surprised that he was already in front and raising his hand to volunteer (what a bibo kid?! Si nanay mo nung bata, sobrang hindi ganyan hehe).  I admire Kiel for being like that whenever we attend birthday parties which is a good thing.  I saw him enjoying playing with his classmates and they're friends :). I thought he has a hard time dealing with his classmates since he is one of the youngest kids in their class.  Kuya Kiel proved me wrong.

The mommy of the bday girl was so accommodating when we arrived.  They even had their pictures taken already.....

The kids enjoyed watching the puppet show and the magic tricks of the magician.  Happy to see Kuya Kiel really enjoyed the party.

Right after the magic and puppet show, the birthday girl gave her souvenirs to all kids guests.  I was waiting for Kuya Kiel and it took him awhile to go back to our table and when he went back, he was carrying 2 give-aways.  I asked him why he had 2 give-aways, he told me that he approached Happy's mom and told her that "I have a brother", in short, he asked for another souvenir item.  At first, I asked him to give it back to Happy's mom since he was only the one invited and not with his brother.  On second thought, I appreciate Kuya Kiel's concern for his little bro, Ethan.  When we said goodbye to the bday girl with her mom, I just told the mom that so sorry that Kiel asked for another souvenir item.  She said, "no, it's ok, actually, natutuwa ako sa kanya kasi game siya." I just wanted to think that this statement is on a positive note.  Good vibes lang.  I just told Kuya Kiel not to do it again but I told him too that I appreciate that he's thinking of his little brother, it's his way of showing love to his brother.  Sometimes, it's hard to be so strict when it comes to birthday etiquette when you know that "They are only kids!" and they are just enjoying the party.

Sometimes, ang mga mali pag ginagawa ng mga bata nagiging tama! (sarap maging kids uli.....)

Love you Kuya Kiel for loving Ethan, too.

More photos from the party.....

Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow :)

It's been 3 months since I last posted an entry here in my blog.  Oh why oh why?! I was so preoccupied with so many things aside from the workload from office, here comes nanay duties that never end (just saying not complaining...hahahaha).

It looks like the workload never stops and I really don't want it to stop, I love my job! (yeah!)

Sometimes you just feel tired of what you're doing but at the end of the day, it's still your choice to be happy or not.  From this business trip, I learned a lot, (1) appreciate more what I have;  (2) realize the things happened in the past have something to do with my present (what you have right now is because of what happened yesterday, gets?! basta un na un! God has better plans for you, period!); (3) be thankful for the people I meet, things, intangible things that I have; and (4) be vocal about your faith and remind others to be thankful for everything.

I realized when you're alone then stop and think of what you have, where you are now, it comes natural that you appreciate everything about yourself, your family, loved ones and friends.  God is so good!

There are really reasons for everything, it's only now that I am realizing the reasons behind what happened in the past.

Thank You for giving me a wonderful family. I love you tatay, kuya kiel and ethan! :)

Bukas, Luluhod ang mga Tala!

When I learned that Kuya Kiel has no classes on Feb 24 and 25 (I don't know with their school why there's no class on Feb 24, of course Feb 25 is Edsa Revolution.  I really don't have any idea why did they declare Feb 24 a No Class day!) Anyway, because of that 2 rest days, I decided that we go out of town.

I heard about Pico de Loro in Nasugbu, Batangas.  Actually, it's on a membership basis for you to avail their services and to enjoy their place.  (well, I thought this was a great idea!)  I looked from different travel websites about Pico and I came across this particular site and immediately, I called the owner of the unit from Pico who happens to offer their units for rent to non-members.  The transaction was so fast, I deposited the rent fee to her account and she sent the authorization letter to be presented when we get there.

I was so excited to share the good news to my hubby and even told him, "magfi-feeling mayaman tayo this time" hahahahaha (social climber lang ang peg! 'yan tuloy napapahamak...hahahahaha).

It took us 2.5 hours to get there.  The road looked like a never ending road.

Finally, we got there!

So, we were informed by the owner that there is a registration fee for non-members.  Then, we were required to avail the card for us to use when we want to avail their other services.  My hubby parked at the Pico Country Club and my kids and I just waited at the car while hubby paid for the registration fee.  When he got back from the country club, he was so pissed off with the staff on how the way they treated non-members.  In short, the staff there was not polite enough to show some respect to non-members.  I felt my hubby's frustrations and disappointment to the point that he wanted to go home and just forfeit what we have paid for.  I just told him that we need to enjoy our short vacation and show the kids that we are really excited to show them the place and that's what we did.  I also told him that if we show frustration with them, they will not enjoy the place which is basically our reason for this short travel with them, "to enjoy and spend quality time with them".

By the way, we were given a wrist tag to indicate that we are not members and just guests (this is really a DISCRIMINATION! we think we paid for the place to enjoy and not to be treated like this.)  This is contrary to my expectation that somehow in just a weekend at least we could feel that we can breathe the air of those elite people but sad to say, we felt that we're really so far away from them.  (hahaha! sino ba naman kasi nagsabi sa akin na magpumilit sa isang membership place! wala! I just thought that this is the same with Alta Vista in Boracay.  We were treated like owners of the condotel that we rented, there was really NO DISCRIMINATION!)

Before I forget, when I saw the frustration on my hubby's face, kulang na lang sabihin ko, "Oh siya, i-avail ang membership, "Yaya, ilabas ang sandamakmak na kaperahan" e kaso ni yaya nga wala kami, sandamakmak na kaperahan pa kaya? hahahaha

Moral Lesson: Tigil tigilan ang pagiging social climber! hahaha kidding aside, I just really want the best place to relax for my family but it's totally a nightmare buti na lang we have our kids to enjoy our stay.

The place is really nice but we cannot highly recommend it to non-members because of how the staff treats the guests.

This is a challenge for us that in the future, we'll have that kind of membership but for sure we'll get the one which offers fair treatment between members and non-members as guests.  "Balang araw, magkakaroon din kami nyang membership ek ek na yan".

"Bukas, luluhod ang mga tala!" (hahaha!)

Road Rage

Last night was one of the scariest (I think) experiences I had on the road.

I was rushing to the boxing gym in Sta. Rosa, I took SLEX from my office in Taguig going to Sta. Rosa.  Somewhere near Binan Exit, I was on the fast lane, my speed was 100kph which is the speed limit in SLEX.  An SUV at my back kept flashing his headlights, it caught my attention and I got irritated that's why I put my car on hazard lights while still driving at 100kph.  I couldn't get his point flashing his headlights since my speed was at 100kph.  When the SUV had a chance to overtake, the driver opened his window when he was beside me then he stared at me (I knew because of my peripheral vision or side vision) then when he was in front of my car he made some hand signals, I only noticed the last hand signal he made pointing to the right.  I was shaking at that time and I wanted to chase him but my guardian angel stopped me from chasing him (aside from the fact that he's really fast, my car can't chase that big vehicle.  I thank God for not letting me do the wrong move.)

I just prayed "Lord, turuan nyo po yung driver na yun ng leksyon, kayo na po bahala sa kanya."

When I reached the gym, my hubby was waiting for me and I couldn't help but cry sa sobrang inis.

It could have been a different story if I did the wrong move.  Thank You Lord for always guiding me.

Road rage is aggressive or angry behavior by a driver of an automobile or other road vehicle. Such behavior might include rude gestures, verbal insults, deliberately driving in an unsafe or threatening manner, or making threats. Road rage can lead to altercations, assaults, and collisions that result in injuries and even deaths. (wikipedia)

OMG! (Oh my gulay!)

It's been a while since my last post and I couldn't believe I wasn't able to post any entry last November and it's January 2014 now.  I think I've been too busy with a lot of things, there were lots of things happened in Nov and they are too many to mention.  Good thing about it was I learned so many things in all aspects of my life.  I became a better person and a good follower of Christ.  There were so many things bothering me but when I decided to lift them up all to the Lord, instantly I was relieved! He is truly amazing. He knows your heart's desires and if it's His will to make it happen, He will allow to make it happen.

I was amazed with His words in one of the masses I attended last December 2013, "Be responsible and multiply the things entrusted to you by God.  Be productive for others. Love more and give more."  I am not sure what verse is this but these sentences enlightened me and on that day, I felt the holy spirit talking to me as if I was the only one attending the mass.  God knows your heart's desires even before you tell Him, He knows what's in your mind, your heart.  In all the things I do, I am lifting it up to Him, He's so faithful and very forgiving God.

There are reasons for everything.  (gasgas na cliche but still I believe in that cliche.)

God is good all the time.

"Thank You for all the positive people that surrounds me.  I am being positive with their influence.  Keep me away from those negative people.  I pray that I will always be positive.  Help me Lord with this."
